You see it all the time all over YouTube and Facebook. “The best proposal”. After watching one of the more popular ones, one that people claimed would have you reaching for their tissues, I had a thought. There is no one best proposal. Every proposal is the best proposal to that couple.
The best proposal that I have witnessed happened on this day three years ago. On the Cardston Alberta Temple grounds, with snow falling around us, my best friend asked if I would marry him. And I said yes. It wasn’t fancy. There were no cameras, no helicopters, no fireworks, no sky writers. Just me, him and a ring. And that’s all I needed.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! This day will always be my lucky day.
We may look a little peculiar with the fish eye lens, but this is still one of my favourite pictures from our engagement sessions.
