Skin Care Extras

Now that you’ve seen my morning and evening skin care routines, I thought I would share the extra bits. I don’t use these on a regular basis, but when needed, these are my favourites masks and treatments.

The Body Shop, Blue Corn 3-in-1 Deep Cleansing Mask. Because I have normal to combination skin, my T-zone can get pretty oily and clogged and I just need something to clear it up. My skin always feels refreshed after using this. My only complaint is that it dries pretty hard so you definitely need a flannel to take it off.

GLAMGLOW, POWERMUD Dualcleanse Treatment. On days when my skin is just feeling gross but I don’t want the trouble of removing a thick clearing mask, I like to use this one. It’s a really light mud mask that dries like any other, but once you add water to it to take it off, it turns into a cleansing oil. I love that this makes my skin feel clean but not like I sucked the life out of it.

The Body Shop, Honey & Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask. This is so delightful when I put it on. It really does hydrate, but also acts as an exfoliator when I rinse it off. It’s super gentle, but makes my skin feel clean and nourished.

Origins, Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. I remember the first time I used this months ago my skin felt amazing the next morning. The mixture of plant glycerin, hyaluronic acid, avocado oil and mango butters are like magic for my skin. I love to use this after a deep cleansing mask (works especially wonderful in combination with Origin’s Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask) to add back the moisture I’ve lost. Last week I also learned that this mask works well to clear up my skin. After I noticed some new spots on my cheeks, I used this instead of a spot treatment and they were gone by morning. Thank goodness for this magic!

I need a new (gentle) exfoliator, what would you recommend? What are your go t0 masks and treatments?
