I got my April Birchbox yesterday, so today I thought I would share the contents with you. For those who are unaware, Birchbox is a monthly beauty subscription service that sends you 4-5 samples of beauty products tailored to your preferences. In Canada, Birchbox is $10 a month, plus $4.95 for shipping or $100 a year plus shipping.
This is my second month (see my March unboxing here), so I was excited to see new products. Plus, I knew that Rifle Paper Co. was partnered with Birchbox for April so the box was going to be gorgeous — it is.
Mèreadesso, All-in-One Moisturizer (Full size, $120). This cream claims to be an anti-aging day/night cream that also doubles (triples? quadruples?) as a serum, eye cream, toner and primer… we’ll see about that. Though I have to say I’m already impressed with this little sample. Even though it’s a foil packet, there is a easy-open thing on the back (can’t quite explain it) so I don’t have to cut it open, and it reseals.
BeeKind, Shower Gel (Full size, $19). This foaming cleanser is made with honey and calendula which claims to moisturize and hydrate skin. It smells super good and I am definitely looking forward to trying this one.
Beaver Professional, Hydro Nutritive Repairing Conditioner and Hydro Nutritive Moisturizing Shampoo (Full size, $20; $19). I love a good shampoo and conditioner sample. I’ll definitely be able to get a week or two out of these, so I’ll definitely know if I like them. Also, they smell delightful.
Jelly Pong Pong, GLOW BETTER Highlighter (Full size $16.50). I honestly thought this was a nail polish, until I looked at the list. This is actually a highlighter for your cheekbones or brow bone. It’s really pretty, but super shimmery — not really my thing. It would be really pretty on a night out in the summer. I’m also tempted to try it out as an eyeshadow — I feel like that’s more my style.
