Empties | Products I’ve Used Up #3

I know I said I wouldn’t be doing another empties post for a while, but here I am again with a lot of finished products. This month has more makeup than usual because I finished some mascaras, and of course I have the mandatory body lotion, because I can’t go a month without polishing one off.FullSizeRender (1)

Bath & Body Works, Warm Vanilla Sugar Shower Gel. I have loved this scent for years and years (probably close to ten). I don’t use it very much anymore though, because I have definitely become a loyal Body Shop girl over the last year, but I found this guy hiding in my stash and decided to use it up. As far body washes go, these aren’t my favourite (I prefer Soap & Glory), but I love that the scent isn’t too strong and layers well with whatever lotion or perfume I would wear later. I won’t be repurchasing this, but I might get one of the lotions soon.

Tarte, Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara. I know this is a favourite for many people, but it just wasn’t for me. I bought it back in November I think and tried it a few times but hated it. It didn’t hold my curl, or give my lashes enough volume. I found it buried beneath some other makeup last month and tried it again. It was a little bit better since it had dried out a bit, but I still wasn’t in love with it. I also found that it would flake by the end of the day and made my lashes feel clumpy with product (both when I originally tried it and last month).

Origins, Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. This was just a little trial size that I got during Black Friday at Sephora (it came with the Modern Friction exfoliator and Clear Improvement mask), and of course I love it. I bought a full size during my last Sephora trip and talked about it again in my Skin Care Extras post. This has definitely reached holy grail status for me.

Indeed Laboratories, Hydraluron Moisture Serum. I reviewed this in my morning and evening skincare routines. I haven’t repurchased it yet, because I just started using the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum, but I definitely will pick it up again in the future.

Revlon, Grow Luscious Mascara. I mentioned this a while back in one of my What’s in My Makeup Bag posts. I really liked this one. I’m not sure if it actually helped my lashes to grow, but I did find that it gave them the length and volume that I love. I may buy this again, but when it comes to mascara, I am always trying new ones.

Bumble and bumble, (Really) Thickening Serum. I have been using this for the past six months (maybe more?) off and on. I definitely notice a difference when I use it every day as opposed to once every few days. You can read my full review here. I haven’t decided yet if I will be repurchasing it. I think I want to give my hair a few weeks to see if there is any change, and if it starts to lose some its thickness, I will buy a new one.

Ogx, Hydrating Argan Oil of Morocco Dry Body Oil. This is a body oil that you can either use in the shower after cleansing to add moisture, or on dry skin to replace your lotion. I tried both ways, but definitely preferred using it in the shower (it was less messy that way). I did find that it moisturized my skin, but not necessarily enough for me to skip the body butter after my shower. I’m not sure if this is still being sold in stores (I saw it in one of the clearance bins at Superstore the other day), but I’m not sure that I would repurchase it anyhow.

Bath & Body Works, Lemon Vanilla Body Lotion. When the Signature Vanilla scents were released for a limited time earlier this year, I picked up a few because I loved them so much when they came out a few years ago. Vanilla and lemon are two of my very favourite scents, and they are heavenly together. As much as I love the smell, I wish that the lotion itself were thicker, more like a body butter. I do find that it keeps me moisturized throughout the day though, so it’s really not a huge issue. I still have at least one bottle in my backup stash, so I’m still good to go.

What products have you finished recently? Anything that you can’t live without?
