Bobbi Brown BB Cream

Since I have been indulging in some sunless tanning this past month, my favourite tinted moisturizer is the wrong shade for me. Rather than just going up a shade or two, I decided to try a new product entirely. When I was shopping during the Sephora VIB sale, I originally wanted to get the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation, but after swatching the BB Cream, I decided to try it out instead. Like I mentioned in my haul post, I was really on the fence about it. It was a totally spontaneous purchase, and wasn’t really sure if I wanted to keep it.
FullSizeRender (14)I’ve been using it for two or three weeks regularly now though, and have come to really love it. The consistency is really creamy, which makes it really easy to blend in. The coverage is pretty decent (just a bit heavier than my Nars Tinted Moisturizer), so much so that on good days I can go without concealer (it doesn’t happen that often though). It’s definitely still a light coverage though, so if you are a fan of full coverage, this is not for you.

With the sun shining a little brighter these days, having the SPF is an added bonus. When first applied, there is definitely a SPF smell, but it fades right away and isn’t noticeable once you’re finished applying the rest of your makeup.

Like Bobbi’s other face products, the shade range is pretty good. With nine shades in total (which is a lot compared to other BB creams), there is something that will fit just about everyone. I am currently using the shade Fair (the third lightest). I’m pretty sure if I was my normal pale self, I would probably be the lightest shade, Extra Light. Even on days when the tan on my face is fading, this still works well, especially with a bit of bronzer to warm up my face.

I think this will definitely be a staple in my makeup wardrobe this summer. You can find it at Sephora (but not online in Canada) or Nordstrom (and likely Holt Renfrew, though it’s not in the shop online).
