The Weekend Post

theweekendpostbeloverlyStarting today, I will be doing a new weekend series, aptly called “The Weekend Post”. In these posts, I will share things going on in my life, my favourite links, YouTube videos, and anything else I feel like sharing on the weekend. Let’s be honest, sometimes it will just be a collection of my favourite clips from The Tonight Show.

This week was a pretty quiet one. With the weather being rainy for most of the week, I decided to be a homebody, choosing to stay inside and binge watch 30 Rock and read Amy Poehler’s Yes Please (see yesterday’s post for the review). We did venture out a few times, one being last night to have dinner and donuts with my sister, brother-in-law and their adorable kids. Is there anything better than my three-year-old nephew asking “where’s my donut?” after finishing all his supper? I didn’t think so.

Now time for some of my favourite bits from around the web this week:

Donuts, donuts and more donuts.

Did you indulge in National Donut Day yesterday? What are you up to this weekend?

  • I love the idea of doing a weekly round-up post! Those doughnuts look so yummy, I missed out yesterday! But I will be indulging this weekend because tomorrow I’m going to a Mac & Cheese festival haha!

    • Ooh! I heard about that Mac & Cheese festival! That sounds amazing! I wish there was something like that here in Calgary!

  • I dint know that Donut day was a thing. Now I will have to wait until next year to celebrate!

    • As far as I’m concerned, every day should be donut day! Celebrate every day! 😉

  • I love the idea of doing a weekend only series. I always want to share things going on in my life but they don’t fit in well with the rest of my content. Plus I’ve been trying to stop doing work on the weekends and just focusing on relaxing instead of designing all the time.
