Empties | Products I’ve Used Up #5

emptiesjuly2It’s time for another empties post! Just like every other month, I polished off a few things, but not a lot compared to last month. Funny how it goes in cycles isn’t it?

emptiesjuly3Whish, Shave Crave Shaving Cream (Pomegranate). I got this sample in my May Birchbox. It smells really good, and it is definitely moisturizing. However, I don’t think this is worth the $22, which is what the full size retails for. I definitely prefer the EOS Shaving Cream, so I will be making a trip to London Drugs or Rexall this week to pick one up (man, I miss Target! Anyone else?)

Bath & Body Works, Waikiki Beach Coconut Crushed Coconut Body Scrub. First of all, this smells amazing (or a-mah-zing for any Penny Hartz fans out there). This is the perfect summer scent, and a pretty good scrub too. For those that like a really rough scrub, this isn’t for you. But for fans of a scrub that isn’t too weak, but also lathers and doesn’t make your skin raw, this is a good one.

St. Tropez, Self  Tan Express Bronzing Mousse. I already talked about this last month, you can read my review here. Overall I really like this. I feel like it is the easiest of the St. Tropez mousses to work with, and gives the most natural looking tan. The only thing I’m not the biggest fan is that it takes longer than the original to dry, so I’m left with that sticky feeling longer than I’d like. But, after two or three hours I can wash it off so I don’t have to leave it on too long. I will definitely buy this again.

Ole Henriksen, Pure Truth Melting Cleanser. I still have one or two applications left in this jar, but I wanted to share it with you today instead of waiting another month. I have been loving this cleanser. It’s a gel consistency, but more like a jelly.. it’s hard to explain, but it’s lovely. It turns to an oil when you work it into the skin, and it makes my skin super soft. I love using this in the mornings, and will definitely be picking up the full size (I bought the 30 ml to test it out first).

Vichy, Aqualia Thermal Power Serum. I think this is my favourite hydrating serum. I talked about this in my May Favourites post, so you can read my thoughts here. It’s so hydrating and just makes my skin feel good. I’ll probably pick up another one this week, since my current serum sample is almost done.

Clarins, Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster. I was pretty bummed when I finished this. I really loved the natural glow it was giving me (read my full review here). I am currently trying out the Liquid Bronze Self Tanning, so I’m not going to pick up another one these right away, but when I do, I will get the new Golden Glow Booster for Body.

emptiesjuly5Briogeo, Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray. This one came in my ipsy bag from May. I really liked it. I definitely helps to keep my hair soft and protected. It also smells amazing. I’m not sure that I will pick this up in a full size any time soon, but I will definitely keep it in the back of my head for the future.

Fresh, Sugar Lip Polish. This is such an amazing lip scrub. It is great for keeping my lips exfoliated, but also keeps them from drying out. I haven’t repurchased it yet, because I’m going to try a DIY, but I will definitely buy another in the future.

For the most part, these were all pretty good products, most of which I would definitely repurchase.

What have you finished lately? What’s your favourite serum?
