July Ipsy Bag

ipsyjuly20153Last month, I mentioned that I lost my June ipsy bag (and still haven’t found it). So, when my bag came this month, I made sure to take out the products, try them out and gets pictures right away. I won’t be sharing my Birchbox this month because I was too disappointed with it, and will be unsubscribing (after I use up my points). I will continue with ipsy for at least one more month though, as I was pretty happy with my products this month. First, for those who don’t know what ipsy is, you can check out this post.

Now, let’s get to the goodies..

Ofra, Eyeshadow and Highlighter in Bliss. This is such a gorgeous rose-y gold shade. It reminds me of Urban Decay’s Chopper, but lighter with more shimmer than glitter. As a highlighter, it’s not bad, but I definitely prefer it as an eyeshadow. It’s actually quite a big pan for an eyeshadow, which is nice and it’s magnetic too, so it would go into a z-palette nicely (if I had any free space in mine). I will definitely get a lot of use of this.

bellàpierre, Mineral Lipstick in P.I.N.K. This is a full-size lipstick, which I love. The formula is really creamy, and smells like vanilla frosting (super yummy). Online it’s defined as a ‘hot pink’, but it’s definitely closer to a dusty pink. It’s kind of like a darker version of Revlon’s Gentlemen Prefer Pink. It’s not one that I would wear every day (I prefer light pinks or bold colours), but I will definitely just some use out of this, especially in early fall.

°Coolway, Beachy Salt Spray. I haven’t had the chance to try this out yet, but as I’ve been on a bit of a salt spray kit lately (post coming soon!), I will definitely be trying this out this week. It’s nice to have a salt spray in a travel size to try it out without the commitment, or for a short trip to save some luggage space.
Jersey Shore Sun, Mongongo Nutrient Dense Anti-aging Lip Conditioner in Vanilla Coconut Cream. This is full of great ingredients like sunflower oil, cocoa butter and vitamin E. It feels really conditioning on the lips, but isn’t as good as my favourite lip balm. This is definitely great for throwing in my handbag, or keeping on my nightstand (like I needed another lip balm). The only issue I have is that it doesn’t have SPF so it’s not as good as it could be.

Tarte, Park Avenue Princess Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer. I was really excited about this one because it’s been on my list to try and I love Tarte products. It has some shimmer to it, but it’s not very pigmented, so it adds a nice glow to my skin rather than making me look like a disco ball. The past few days I’ve been adding it to my favourite bronzer for some extra bronze and glow. I will definitely be using this a lot in the next month or so, and probably longer in my effort to make summer last longer.
Overall I’m actually pretty happy with this month’s bag. I can definitely use each product and two of them are full size, which is great. I hope that next month is good too! If you would like to try ipsy for yourself, you can sign up here.
