Hats, Scarves and Gloves | Style Inspiration

Now that the chill of autumn seems to have really set in, the days of going out without a coat and uncovered heads seem to be behind us (at least until a chinook rolls around). While I love simple coats in neutral colours, when it comes to my cold weather accessories I like something that stands out a bit more. I’m all about bold patterns, fun colours — basically anything to add a bit of fun and personality to my look (especially when it’s not so cheery outside).

I have recently become a fan of wool and felt hats, and definitely think I will be wearing this one on brisk days when it’s cold, but not too cold to need my ears covered. I love this grey one and this black one with beautiful rose gold details, and this bright pink cloche is just too beautiful not to need in my life. When the crisp turns to biting cold, having a cute toque (or beanie for non-Canadians) like this polka dot number or this fun graphic one make those cold mornings (and afternoons, and evenings) more bearable. For scarves, I like to have something with a pattern, but also something plain (though still colourful). You can never go wrong with a colourful knit, or plaid — fall is always better with them. To keep my hands warm and free from the pain of dry, cracked skin (my least favourite part about this time of year), I love these adorable gloves with a bow detail or these bright fuchsia mittens or this lovely striped pair. My hands are feeling warm and cozy just looking at them!

Have you started wearing hats and gloves and scarves yet? Do you like patterns and bright colours too, or do you stick with neutrals?
