The Weekend Post | 02.07.16

Happy Sunday! Have you had a good week? For the first week of February, it’s been pretty good. I spent a good portion of my week making delicious new meals (like this one and this one), and applying for jobs. I love being a stay-at-home wife at the moment, but the reality of me needing a job is starting to sink in more and more. I’m hoping I can find something quickly, and something that I will enjoy, and something that will allow me to continue sharing content as regularly as I have been here, while also starting to do some freelance work on the side. Oh, the joys of being an aspiring writer…

sidedutchbraidI got to go swimming with my sisters, the kids, my mom and one of my cousins and her family. It’s been a while since I went to the pool on a weekday afternoon, and I have to say it was really nice to be there when it was so empty. It was Michael and Isabelle’s first time swimming and they did such a good job. Plus, they looked adorable in their little swimming suits. And of course, I forgot to take pictures. I probably lose points as an auntie for that one. After swimming, my sister-in-law and I went to see the new Kate Spade store at Chinook in all it’s glory. I loved it, and wanted to buy everything. Also, I want to live there. I imagine I will make many trips there this year.

In other news, my application for graduation was approved, so I can now say that I have officially graduated. I still have to wait until June for convocation to receive my degree, but it’s so good to know that I’ve finally reached that elusive milestone. It still hasn’t hit me that I’m actually done school. I’m not sure when it will. Probably when I’m actually walking across that stage.
