Monthly Playlist | February 2016

februaryplaylist2016-1First off, I just want to say how happy I am to be able to post again! Earlier this week, my site crashed and my amazing husband did everything he could to fix it, but nothing was working until yesterday when he switched us to a new host. Now everything is running smoothly, and I expect it will continue to do so. I’m so blessed to have such a wonderful, selfless husband who has spent much of his free time (and downtime at work) trying to get things sorted for me. I’d be lost without my IT guy.

Now let’s talk about music! February has been an incredible month for new music, and I’m excited to see what the rest of 2016 will bring. Brian Fallon (of The Gaslight Anthem) is coming out with a new album next month, and the singles so far are great. The Lumineers have also released a new single from their new album out in April, and Matt Dusk just put out an album with Florence K. (gotta love Canadians with beautiful voices). For the majority of the month (and especially this last week) I have had Basia Bulat’s “La La Lie” and Beyoncé’s “XO” (I know it’s not new, but I still love it) on repeat, and doubt I will tire of them anytime soon. And on days when I want something to speak to my soul, it’s got to be Damien Rice. You can listen to my playlist below, or find it here (along with the rest of my playlists from the last year and more).
