The Weekend Post | 02.28.16

weekendpost022816Happy Sunday! It’s been a packed weekend so far, and I am looking forward to the rest that comes with Sunday (though Sundays with choir practices, church, and dinners with friends or families can keep us pretty busy). On Friday, my sister and I binge watched the entire season of Fuller House, and we loved it. I know there have been a lot of bad reviews about it, but I disagree with them. Of course it was corny, cheesy and predictable — but so was Full House. My advice is that if you’re unsure about it after the first episode, try two more and then you’ll have a better idea if you’ll like it or not. The pilot is definitely over the top in the cheese department, but it settles down after that. We also got to spend some time with my grandparents and cousins to celebrate my Granny’s birthday, which was a delight. I love that my grandparents (on my mom’s side) live so close and that we are really close. When Chris and I were first married, we lived two blocks away from them and we would see them every week at church, and sometimes randomly on the street, or at the store. I miss that.

This coming week, I’m looking forward to spending more time on the blog. I really missed being able to do my daily posts this week, and have figured out a few ways to get ahead, which is always a help. I’ve also been getting back into the habit of getting up early, and my body (and my mind) is thanking me — though I do tend to get pretty tired at 10:00 pm now.

Now for my favourite links from the week:
