Beauty Wishlist | Spring 2016

Spring is one of my favourite seasons. I love the change in the weather, seeing the sun more often, the flowers, not wearing a big coat or boots, and of course, buying new beauty products. There have been so many big launches lately from my favourite brands, and my list is growing every day, so today I thought I would share a handful of items that I plan to get in the next few months.

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6

Tarte, Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation. I love everything that Tarte is doing right now. The new Rainforest of the Sea line is beautiful, and while I definitely want the eye shadow palette and mist, I am most intrigued by the new foundation. I really want something lightweight, but that has more coverage than a tinted moisturizer. I feel like this would fit the bill.

Formula X, #ColorCurators: Cupcakes and Cashmere Edition. I love Emily Schuman from Cupcakes and Cashmere, so I was thrilled when I found out she would be the Color Curator for Formula X in March. All three shades are something that I would wear (though I think I’m most excited about Latte Run). I was excited to pick them up at Sephora the other day, but they haven’t put them out yet, so I’ll have to wait another week.

Tocca, Stella Eau de Parfum. I probably don’t need any more perfume, but I fell in love with this beautiful scent while at Anthropologie on the weekend (they have the best collection of pretty perfumes. I also want this one and this one). It’s feminine, but not overpowering, and the mixture of orange, sandalwood and musk would make it perfect for date nights in the coming months.

Living Proof, Perfect Hair Day Fresh Cut Split End Mender. I know that the only way to get rid of split ends is to get a cut, but I have been hearing so many good reviews about this stuff. It’s meant to prolong the time between cuts by sealing your ends to both heal existing split ends and prevent new ones. Once I heard that Kate from The Small Things Blog liked it, I knew I had to try it. I trust everything that girl says when it comes to hair.

Clarins, Instant Light Lip Perfector in Plum Shimmer. Earlier this year, Clarins added two new shades to their beloved Lip Perfector line (Plum Shimmer and Toffee Shimmer), and since then I have been itching to try them out, especially Plum Shimmer. I adore the shade Rose Shimmer, and use it almost daily, so I’m excited to try something with a little more colour to it, but not so much that I might as well wear a lipstick.

Origins, Maskimizer Skin-Optimizing Mask Primer. I love a good face mask, so anything that will improve the experience is welcome in my books. This primer is meant to prepare your skin for whatever mask you use, and boost the effectiveness while it’s on your skin. Origins makes two of my favourite masks (this one and this one), so of course I’m looking forward to testing this one out. I’m surprised this hasn’t existed until now.

Have you tried any of these products? What’s on your beauty wish list this spring?

  • I want that Tocca perfume :3 Mainly for the packaging haha. It’s so pretty looking! One thing I’m eyeing is YSL’s Boho Spring 2016 eyeshadow palette, again, mainly for the packaging! T_T

    • I would be sold on the packaging alone too!

      xo, Kristi

  • I also want to pick up one of Cupcakes & Cashmere’s Formula X polishes – the colours look fantastic!

    • They are so gorgeous! And exactly what I would wear all the time.
