I have always loved bright nail polish, but within the last year I’ve found myself drawn more towards soft pinks, muted purples, greys and beiges — that is until recently. Looking through my collection recently, I realized it’s been quite a while since I’ve worn my bright pink shades, and rather than wearing it on my toes, I decided my fingers needed a pop of bright pink.
Essie’s Mod Square, an “electric pink”, is a lovely and vibrant shade, perfect for welcoming spring. Not for the faint of heart, this shade matches many of my favourite hot pink lipsticks (like this one), and adds a little something special to my generally muted wardrobe. The formula for this one is really nice, as it’s not so creamy that it goes on too thick, nor is it streaky whatsoever. You could get away with one coat, but two coats is the perfect amount for a nicely opaque look. I have a feeling this will be in my rotation quite a bit in the next few months.
What is your favourite bright pink for spring?
