Another month is nearly done, so it must be time for my beauty favourites! I didn’t really discover much yet this month, though I did purchase a lot of new products. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a lot of time with some my new goodies, so I don’t have any solid favourites yet, but I imagine some might emerge by this time next month. However, I do have some rediscovered favourites, and a brand new one too to share with you today.
Living Proof, Fresh Cut Split End Mender. I haven’t posted a full review yet, so I kind of didn’t want to include it in this post, but it’s seriously been a favourite, so I couldn’t leave it out. I will be posting a full review next week, but suffice it to say that this stuff works suprisingly well. On days when my ends are feeling and looking a little rough, I just add a little bit of this cream to them, and immediately they feel softer, and don’t look as damaged.
beautyblender, The Original beautyblender. I’ve been using a beautyblender for quite a while now, but within the last month, I’ve started using it again to apply my fuller coverage foundations (like Rimmel’s Match Perfection Foundation) and I love the natural finish that it gives. It’s also lovely applying my concealer with a cool, dampened beautyblender in the early mornings (or really whatever time of day I’m doing my makeup).
The Body Shop, Coconut Body Butter. I started using this old favourite again this month, and it’s been a real treat. I don’t use it every day, but on days when I do, it’s always good. The delightful smell and the amount of moisture I get from this body butter will always be a favourite.
Maybelline, Color Tattoo 24 Hr Eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze. I haven’t worn very much eyeshadow recently, but when I do, I have loved using this gorgeous cream shadow. It’s so easy, but it makes it looks like I put more than a minute of effort into my makeup, which is always a plus in my book!
Revlon, Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sultry Samba. This matte lipstick was one of my favourites last spring, but since then, it’s been overshadowed by my many others — until recently. I love the bright, almost Barbie pink shade, and also how long-lasting it is. I can usually get through a whole (6 or 8 hour) day without having to touch it up at all. It also wears off really well, so I’m never left with a weird ring around my lips or patchy-ness.
Clarins, Instant Light Lip Perfector in Rose Shimmer. On days when I want something on my lips, but I’m going with a minimal look all around, or can’t be bothered with lipstick, this gloss is my go-to. Honestly, this is always a favourite, but especially this month. The consistency is lovely — not goopy or sticky, it smells delightful, and makes my lips look lovely with a light sheen and a touch of pink.
