Spring Makeup Menu

springmakeupmenuEvery season, I tend to find one specific makeup look and wear it over and over. This spring is no exception. For the last month or so, I’ve been doing pretty much the same thing when it comes to my makeup routine. With it being spring, I like to keep things fresh and simple, and easy for days when I’m short on time.

springmakeupStarting with my base, I use Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer to add hydration and keep things glowing. Next, I love a good tinted moisturizer, so most days I use NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer or BareMinerals Complexion Rescue, though now that I’ve been dabbling in the self-tanner, I’ve brought out Bobbi Brown’s BB Cream (in Fair) again. My skin is having a good day, so I don’t need too much concealing, but I do like to use the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Treatment Concealer in the brightening shade under my eyes to cancel out my dark circles, as well as down the bridge of my nose, on my forehead and above my cupid’s bow to balance out the highlight. To set everything, I love Rimmel’s Stay Matte Pressed Powder. For a bit of bronze, I’m still loving the Pro Bronze Fusion Bronzer from Make Up For Ever.

IMG_3921Some days I can’t be bothered to put on eyeshadow and go for a bare lidded look, but when I have a few extra minutes, or want to add definition to my eyes, the Urban Decay Naked2 Basics palette is my go-to. To make sure I get the most out of my eyeshadow, I always use a primer, and right now I have been using the Life Proof Eye Shadow Primer from blinc. For shadow, I start with Stark all over the lid, then add Frisk into the crease and outer corner for definition. To brighten my eyes a bit, I like to add a dab of Skimp to the inner corners. For mascara, I’ve been testing out Revlon’s newest launches, and at the moment the Ultra Volume Mascara (pink lid) has been one of my favourites. For brows, I use a bit of Benefit’s Gimme Brow in Light and a clear brow gel from Essence.

For the past week or so, the colour I’ve been reaching for the most is the Revlon Balm Stain in Cherish. I love the bright, cool-toned pink that gives me major Malibu Barbie vibes. The chubby pencil makes it so easy to apply, and it’s really moisturizing and easy to wear all day too.
