Reading List | Winter 2017

I’ve already finished three books so far this month, and am excited about what the rest of the year will bring in terms of reading. I’ve compiled a short list of some of the books I’d like to read in the next few months.

The Royal We // My (Not So) Perfect Life // Lyrebird // Paris for One // Pretty Iconic //Scrappy Little Nobody

The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan. I remember seeing this novel when it was released, but not being super interested in it. Then while reading Lauren Graham’s book last month, I found out that she and Mae Whitman are working on the script for the movie, so I had to add it to my list.

My Not So Perfect Life by Sophie Kinsella. You shouldn’t be surprised by now that I want to read something by Kinsella. This novel (which will be released in a few weeks) is about Katie who, after losing her job, moves to help her father out with his glamping business, only to run into her previous boss again, this time as a client. Basically if Sophie Kinsella doodled on a napkin and sold it, I would buy it.

Lyrebird by Cecelia Ahern. I found the plot of this novel to be really intriguing. A man finds a woman who lives a solitary existence and changes her life as she meets the big city of Dublin. Ahern is one of my favourites for interesting and unique stories, so I expect I won’t be disappointed with this one either.

Paris for One & Other Stories by Jojo Moyes. A book of short stories written by one of my (new) favourite authors. Moyes knows how to write a smart romantic story, so I’m sure that this collection will be just as good as everything else she’s written.

Pretty Iconic: A Personal Look at the Beauty Products that Changed the World by Sali Hughes. I recently finished reading the first book from Sali Hughes (review coming next week), so I am really looking to checking this one out too. This book is a collection of iconic beauty products, with Hughes’s personal take on each of them. I have a feeling I’m going to love this one.

Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick. You know I love a good celebrity memoir, so something written by the hilarious and relatable Anna Kendrick has to be on my list this winter.

Have you read any of these books? What’s on your reading list this winter?
