Earlier this week, I came across this article, citing Emma Thompson’s distaste for Audrey Hepburn and her performance in My Fair Lady, as well as her own plans to rework the musical into an updated film. It honestly made me sad to read it. I didn’t know there was anyone out there who didn’t like Audrey Hepburn. After reading that, I felt the need to share how I feel about Audrey.
I believe that everything about Audrey was lovely. From her acting, to her style, to her charity. She was a strong, beautiful and smart woman; a wonderful role model to follow. I have tried in many ways to be like Audrey Hepburn, and though I try, I can’t rock a little black dress quite the way she did. Nor do I look as good in pearls or skinny black pants, but I can still try.
