I mentioned last month that I’ve only recently ventured into eyebrow products. I feel like I’ve become comfortable with the idea of filling in my brows, so I thought I would try out some new products. For a while, I have wanted to try Benefit’s Gimme Brow, so I picked it up earlier this week, excited to see how it would work. This is a marketed as a “brow-volumizing fibre gel”. Basically, it is a tinted brow gel with little fibres in it which are supposed to grab onto your actual hairs which adds volume and definition, along with some colour.
Let’s start with the pros. The brush! That magic little brush. It’s the perfect size for precise application of product and is especially helpful if you’re a newbie. I did find that it added a bit of volume to my brows, which if I was really in need of that, I would appreciate.
Now, the cons. Unfortunately, this only comes in two colours: light/medium and medium/dark, which makes it difficult for many women to use. If it had been one shade lighter, it would have been perfect for me. Also, because it’s a tinted brow gel, I didn’t find it to be as forgiving as a eyebrow pencil would be, because for the most part, regardless of pressure when applying it, it would still give me the same amount of colour. I’m sad this didn’t work out for me, but I’m sure that it will for many gals, especially if you like a quick fix and your hair colour fits in either the light/medium or medium/dark category!
Be sure to come back tomorrow for my February favourites!
