After spending days and days trying to decide what to buy with my 15%, I headed to the homeland on Saturday and picked up some goodies. I’m so glad that my sister-in-law loves makeup as much as me and indulged me in a special trip. Also, thanks to my brother for going with us and treating us to a special record store stop before hand (in honour of Record Store Day) and burgers afterwards.
I’m not sure how much time we spent in the store, but by the end of it I only left with 4 products (and one ordered online).
Elizabeth and James, Nirvana Black Perfume. I love this sophisticated packaging. Even though I have been wearing Prada Candy more lately (I think it’s more of a spring scent), I still love this one. Perfect for an evening out or days when I don’t want to smell sugary sweet.
Origins, Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. This one is officially a staple in my skin care routine, but I will share more about that later this week.
Bobbi Brown, BB Cream SPF 35 (Fair). This was kind of an impulse buy. I was planning on trying out Bobbi Brown’s Skin Foundation, but decided I liked the formulation of this better. I’m still a bit on the fence about it, I need to test it out a bit first to see if I want to keep it.
Yves Saint Laurent, Volupté Tint-in-Oil (04, I Rose You). I probably spent at least five minutes deciding between this and Cherry My Cherie , but in the end decided to go with this one because I thought it would be a less obvious colour (more of a soft pink than a bright pink). I couldn’t resist using this already. So far, I really like it but promise to do a full review after more time with it.
Tarte, Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette (not pictured). I was so sad when it was sold out in the store, so I decided to order it online. I can’t wait for all those dreamy matte shades to be mine.
