In just over a month, Christopher and I will be celebrating our three-year wedding anniversary. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone, and yet there are still times where I feel like we’ve been married for ten years. As much as I love being married, sometimes I miss the wedding planning. Whenever we go to a wedding or reception (like a couple of weeks ago), I always tell him that I want to have another wedding. I really just love planning parties. I love the invitations, picking the colour scheme, choosing the flowers… and the outfit! I’m pretty sure I spent at least two solid years (before we were even engaged or even dating) searching for the perfect dress. I spent hours flipping through wedding magazines, scrolling through wedding blogs and dress sites. I kind of miss that. I don’t miss the stress of executing a wedding and reception (I’m better with planning than execution), but I miss the fun of putting together my perfect day.

So, even though it’s nearly three years since I’ve been a bride (man, I should have married in June, then I’d be a bride all my life! Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, anyone?), I still find myself occasionally looking at wedding planning and dress websites, just for fun, especially now that it’s wedding season . There are so many good places to find the perfect dress besides a bridal store. In fact, when I was looking for a dress, I found mine online! I know, it seems crazy to buy a dress that you haven’t tried on, especially for your wedding day, but it worked out for me. I did go to a bridal boutique, found a beautiful dress, but it was at least 3 times my dress budget. So, I did a lot of searching online and found a dress that I had found a few years before (remember, I was searching for my dress years before I had that ring on my finger), and it worked out perfectly, plus it was under $300!
Now that I think about it, I honestly cannot remember the name of the website that I bought my dress from, but there are plenty of others discount wedding dress sites out there, including beFormal.
