Happy October, friends! This month, I am excited for pumpkin pie (and pumpkin flavoured everything, really), salted caramel hot chocolate and becoming an auntie again. The other day, I was cleaning the house for company (the best way to get me to clean up fast), and I decided that it was time to switch up our decor for fall. A few changes here and there (just in the living room right now) have made everything a little cozier, and make me more excited for Thanksgiving and even Halloween coming up.
Starting with our front door, I put out our fall wreath. This is one that I made last year, and still love it. The combination of chevron and burlap is just perfect. If you’d like to see tutorial for this one, let me know!
Next, I changed the flowers. Usually I am not a fan of orange, but I don’t mind it when it came to flowers. Right now I am using all fake flowers, but I would definitely like to add some fresh ones occasionally (hint, hint Christopher) because nothing brightens up a room like a bunch of fresh blooms.
And finally, I rearranged our bookcase in the living room, and added a few festive accents. I love the pumpkins, especially the chevron one, which I picked up at Target last year. What am I going to do this year without Target? I’m still mourning it’s passing in Canada daily…
