It’s time for another monthly playlist! This month there has been a wealth of great new singles and albums released so I actually have a lot of new favourites to share rather than most months where I’m just listening to oldies (but goodies). City and Colour released a new album this month, which is of course spectacular. I didn’t enjoy his collaboration with Pink, so I am really loving everything from If I Should Go Before You, especially “Lover Come Back”. I recently discovered Jamie Lawson’s self titled album, which I have been listening to a lot, especially when I’m writing, and have fallen for the single, “Wasn’t Expecting That”. From Adele’s “Hello” to Straight No Chaser’s “Creep” (their a capella cover of Radiohead’s song), there are some great new albums to be excited about in the coming weeks and months. And speaking of covers, have you heard Ryan Adams’s collection of Taylor Swift covers from her album, 1989? It’s seriously amazing. Especially “All You Had to Do Was Stay” and “Wildest Dreams”. I’ve also been having a bit of a BØRNS moment, especially with the song “Past Lives”, which is perfect for writing, cleaning, and basically motivating me to do anything but lie in bed for the rest of the day watching YouTube videos.
