Up until two days ago, I was sure that I would only have two or three products to share for this month’s empties post. And then I finished three products within two days. It always seems to go that way for me. This month, my bin is mostly full of body and skin care products, a couple of hair products, and the usual lone makeup item.
Pure Brazilian Miracle, Leave-In Conditioner with Keratin. I received this deluxe sample in one of my ipsy bags in the summer. I really loved using it, and found that it did make my hair smoother and more manageable. And it smells delightful. I would definitely consider buying the full size in the future.
Garnier Fructis Style, De-Constructed Texture Tease Hairspray. While I do love Bumble and bumble’s texture spray, it’s always nice to have a cheaper alternative, and this one definitely fits the bill. It’s definitely not as strong, though it can get a bit crunchy if I’m not careful, but it does the job well enough that saving $30 is definitely worth it. I would definitely buy this one again, and will likely do just that in the next few days.
Ole Henriksen, Pure Truth Melting Cleanser. This is definitely one of my favourite cleansers. I’ve used it every morning for the past four or five months, and love the fresh, orange-y smell and the gentle cleanse that I get. My skin always feels soft and nourished after I use it. I still don’t know if I will buy another one, or try something new instead yet though. I’d love to hear if you have a favourite balm or gel cleanser. Let me know in the comments!
The Body Shop, Jumbo Coconut Body Butter. The last time I bought my favourite body butter, I decided it would be smarter to go with the jumbo size, since I go through so many of these. I’m definitely glad that I did, since it lasted me about three months rather than one. You don’t need to hear me say it again, but I will for those that don’t know. I love this stuff, and always have to have one in my stash.
Crabtree & Evelyn, Gardeners Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy. Another ipsy or Birchbox goodie that I really loved. I kept this in my nightstand so that I could apply it right before I went to bed. Though it’s not quite as magical as my favourite hand lotion, it was definitely good for early fall when my hands were just starting to become dry. I would definitely buy this in the full size, though I would probably chose a milder scent.
Formula X, Prime Base Coat. There is still the tiniest bit left in the bottle, and I can technically get it out, but it’s a real pain right now, so I decided to just consider this base coat finished. This is still my favourite base coat that I have ever used, and while I am using another one at the moment, I will definitely be going back to this one in the future.
Covergirl, The Super Sizer Mascara. I haven’t used this one very much in the last few months, but I did use it a lot in the summer. The first few times that I used it, I was definitely impressed with the volume that it gave to my lashes. However, the more I used it, the more it irritated my eyes, and also became quite clumpy, so I won’t be purchasing it again.
