Happy Sunday, friends! I hope you are having a wonderful day so far, and not missing that hour so much. I still don’t understand why we have to do the whole Daylight Savings Time, and wish I could just skip it, but I guess it doesn’t really work that way…
It’s been quite the week. It started off with an incredibly productive day on Monday. I wrote three blog posts, worked out (for the first time in months), did the laundry… it was a great day. I was expecting the rest of the week to go the same way, but it didn’t quite work out that way. I did work out four days though, which was a huge accomplishment for me though, so there’s that. I started a new job this week, and though I’m only working short shifts a few times a week, they are early shifts (5 am start.. ugh), so though my body has quickly adjusted to an early bed time and an early wake up call (sort of), I’m still working on figuring out what the rest of my week will work out to be like, and how I will get everything done that I need to at home, and with the blog when all I want to do when I get home is sleep (which I try not to do) or watch “The Office” all afternoon. Hopefully I can figure it out soon, because at the moment I don’t want to have to cut back on posting, but also want to be sharing my best content.
Besides starting my new job, this was an exciting week because my brother participated in a record-breaking head shave to raise money and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society (read all about it here). I got to take care of Michael for the day (on a side note, baby-wearing is my new favourite thing), since my sister-in-law, Chantelle was shaving David’s head. It was really cool to be there to support my big brother and it made me proud to see him there doing something important, selfless and brave. Cancer touches us all, whether it is our friends, our family, or ourselves, and every little bit makes a difference.
