I talk all the time about how much I love fall, but before we get to the official start of autumn next week, I thought summer needed a proper send off (and honestly I wanted to share one of my favourite summer looks before it’s too late).

While I love that the temperature has dropped significantly this week and I wore a sweater AND a jacket last night, I will miss some things about summer. I’ll miss the walks in the mornings when it was warm but not boiling yet (it’s been a hot summer), being able to run out the door without grabbing a coat, the moment the AC turns on in the car while listening to my favourite song or clever podcast.
I will also miss this perfect summer look. I haven’t worn any form of overalls since Jr High (I had a great pair of black corduroy overalls that I wore constantly in grade 8 or 9), but with the trend being huge recently, I decided to try it out with this dress. It may not always be the most flattering look, but sometimes comfort has to win. Finishing off the look with my favourite striped tee, a bright red lip made it the perfect summer outfit.
I am so ready for hot chocolate, cozy sweaters and boots, but this summer was a good one and I’ll miss it.
