March is usually the worst month because it’s the end of winter and the beginning of spring, and neither of those things are really pretty here in Calgary. March is always full either snow lots of mud from recently melted snow. Thankfully a lot of great music has been released recently, so those March blues can be wiped away with some good tunes.
This month’s playlist includes some new offerings from Dan Mangan, Port Cities, Vance Joy and Franz Ferdinand. I’ve also included some new favourite discoveries like Shakey Graves and Parekh & Singh. My favourite discovery so far this year though is The Sheepdogs. I had to check the release date of their album at least three times to make sure that they are a new band and not one from the 70s that I somehow had never heard of. Enjoy!
