Spring will officially be here in just 11 days, but with all of the snow still covering the ground, it’s hard to feel that warmer temperatures will ever come back. We got a huge snowfall at the beginning of February and another one a few weeks later, and while it’s melted a little, there’s still so much of it out there. I can’t even remember what it was like to have no snow (which is what the majority of December was like). Why didn’t I appreciate our snow-free autumn more?
Rather than being negative about our lack of spring weather, I’m going to focus on the positive and remember that “no matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow”. Since I can’t change the temperatures outside, today I’m focusing on what I can change — bringing spring into my home. Keep reading to find out what items are my current inspiration for I want to add to my home as the seasons (finally) change.
Shower curtain // Basket // Pillow // Chair // Succulent // Tea towel // Candle // Throw // Print
We have a glass door for our shower, but I am wishing today that we needed a shower curtain so that I could pick up this gorgeous pink floral one. I’m not sure if my husband would love it, but I would love it enough for the both of us. For pops of floral that are less permanent, I’m eyeing this graphic pillow as well as this candle cased in the prettiest tin.
I’m not much of plant girl (I think I inherited my mom’s black thumb — or maybe it’s just that we’ve always lived in basement suites, which aren’t the best in terms of direct sunlight), but I’ve been craving some green in our space, so I am on that succulent bandwagon (artificial only for now) and would also love to add this print to remind me of sunnier days, and perhaps give me motivation to save for a vacation later this year.
In terms of our kitchen, there isn’t much that I’ll be changing, but I did just recently pick up this fun tea towel and am toying with the idea of changing out our chairs and going with these, because I’m obsessed with them.
Lastly, I love the texture of this basket (perfect for stashing away my nephew’s toys) and am in love with the blush shade of this pretty throw.
