October has been a wonderful month for many reasons, one being the excuse for my lack of post yesterday (check out my Facebook post in case you missed it). Besides good times with our families, gorgeous weather and news about my favourite show coming back, I have had some good luck in the beauty department this month. While there are some months where I really only have three or four products that stand out, this month I actually had to narrow it down and I was still left with quite a good amount.
MAC Cosmetics, MACnificent Me! Eye Shadows x 9. As I mentioned in Monday’s review of this palette, I have been choosing this palette over many of my other neutrals most days. I love the pigmentation, and how easy the shadows are to blend.
Rimmel, Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick in 10. In just one week, I wore this lipstick three times, which is very unlike me (unless it’s a sheer pink). The colour is the perfect red (not too bright, but not too dark), and it really is long-lasting. It also lasted through one of our Thanksgiving dinners, which is always a great test for a lipstick.
Bumble and bumble, Spray de Mode Hairspray. I bought this hairspray quite a while ago, and while I have used it off and on since then, I have especially loved it this month. It has a good hold to it, but it never gives my hair that unwelcome crunchy feeling, or makes it feel like I have too much build up in my hair.
Clarins, Instant Concealer. For months I have said that I would buy this. Everyone talks about how good it is, and while it is definitely pricier than my favourite drugstore concealer, I now know that it is definitely worth it. It gives great coverage without any heaviness or creasing, and it blends beautifully.
Lancôme, La Vie Est Belle Eau de Parfum. As I said in my review earlier this month, this lovely perfume has been a firm favourite lately. It’s warm, but sweet, and always makes me feel put together and feminine.
Claris, Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector. When I’m not looking for a bold lip, I have reached for this slightly tinted lip balm most days. It’s basically a balm version of the Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. I love how moisturizing this lip balm is, the packaging is super cute, and it gives just the right amount of colour without looking like I’m wearing anything (perfect for no-makeup-makeup days).
Sephora, Master Cleanse Daily Brush Cleaner. I mentioned in my Fall Beauty Wish List post that I was looking for a good daily brush cleaner. I knew that the Bobbi Brown one was good, but I thought I would try a more budget friendly option first (though the Bobbi one isn’t really expensive). This one from the Sephora line is really great. I love that I can now use my brushes more often before doing a deep cleanse (which I still do at least bi-weekly), especially when I use darker shadows.
Have you tried any of these products? What have you been loving this month?
