Happy Saturday! It’s the first weekend of June, and it feels like summer is already in full swing, though we still have three weeks until it’s official. By the way, it’s become one of my pet peeves lately when people say it’s summer when it’s still spring. I know, it’s silly.
I’ve had a really great week, enjoying lots of time with the family (and the kids), and even had a night out with Christopher last night (we went to Original Joe’s and it was delicious). I realized yesterday after work (I leave work around 9 am most days) that my mood is very directly tied to the weather. It was a beautiful, sunny day and even though I was tired from getting up at 4:00, I really didn’t have a desire to go back to bed when I got home. It helped that I walked outside for a bit, and went to HomeSense before heading home.
Today, I’m planning to go shopping to see if I can find a dress for my convocation on Wednesday. It seems so weird that I’m having my convocation next week, because I finished classes in December. I think actually getting my degree and walking across the stage will make it feel real though, because I often forget that I’m actually finished with school.
